HOD Message

As the Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE–AIML), I take great pride in presenting a department that is firmly rooted in academic excellence while embracing the philosophy of holistic education. We believe that true education extends beyond the boundaries of textbooks and classrooms, nurturing not only intellectual growth but also ethical values, creativity, and social responsibility.
Our curriculum is thoughtfully designed to align with evolving industry demands while building a strong foundation for research and higher studies. It encompasses core principles of computer science alongside emerging domains such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data Science. This balanced approach ensures that our students are both technically proficient and future-ready.
Our faculty members are a blend of experienced academicians and dynamic researchers who bring depth of knowledge and innovation into the learning environment. They serve not only as educators but also as mentors, guiding students in their academic pursuits as well as personal and professional development. Through a student-centric approach, we encourage experiential learning via projects, internships, workshops, and seminars, supported by state-of-the-art laboratories and infrastructure.
Research and innovation form a cornerstone of our department. We actively promote inquiry-driven learning and problem-solving that addresses real-world challenges. The establishment of the Intel Center of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence provides a collaborative platform for cutting-edge research and technological advancement. Regular conferences, symposia, and workshops foster meaningful engagement among academia, industry, and government.
Our strong collaborations with leading technology companies, research organizations, and government bodies open avenues for internships, live projects, and placements. Interactions with industry experts through guest lectures and workshops ensure that our students remain abreast of the latest technological trends and professional practices.
We are equally proud of our global alumni network, whose members excel across diverse domains including industry, academia, entrepreneurship, and public service. Their continued engagement in mentoring and guiding our students significantly enriches our academic ecosystem.
At our department, we firmly believe that education must be holistic. We provide ample opportunities for students to participate in co-curricular and extracurricular activities, including coding competitions, hackathons, technical festivals, sports, cultural events, and community service initiatives. Various student clubs, societies, and professional chapters foster innovation, leadership, teamwork, and communication skills, shaping well-rounded individuals.
While we take pride in our accomplishments, we remain committed to constant improvement. I warmly invite all stakeholders—students, faculty, alumni, industry partners, and well-wishers—to be a part of our journey toward excellence.
Together, we aspire to nurture graduates who are not only competent professionals but also responsible, ethical, and compassionate citizens, contributing meaningfully to society and the world at large.
